The RAH Executive and key stakeholders required an urgent review to identify systemic, hospital-wide logistical and operational issues that were impacting on the efficient operation of the hospital.

Our Approach

Our team facilitated a number of stakeholder workshops and interviews to gain insights into the issues occurring at the RAH.

Based on these insights we developed a plan to move to a more sustainable and efficient operation across various functional areas of the hospital based on LEAN methodologies.


  • A detailed Logistics Review report was completed and incorporated into a broader assessment of the operational and financial issues requiring resolution at the hospital.
  • This report informed a three year Operational and Financial Recovery Plan for the hospital and the broader Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) for which The Checkley Group was engaged.
