Maggie Bawer

Maggie is an experienced consultant with a diverse career spanning both strategic and operational roles in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Maggie has extensive experience in leading key project and change management programs that have focused on change management, organisational design/HR, learning and development, communication and facilitation. She has successfully designed, managed and implemented organisational change programs required to enable the delivery of strategic initiatives in the healthcare sector at both a local and global level.

Maggie has conducted organisational design human resources and healthcare service solution design for various tender submissions (n=10+) for government contracts valued between $10m and $2b AUD across Health, Corrections, Immigration and Citizenship, Transport and Defence. Consulting assignments have included the design and facilitation of global executive workshops in Australia, Asia and Europe across diverse functional areas and product portfolios in the pharmaceutical, NGO and health sectors.

Since joining Checkley Maggie has worked on iEMR implementations as a Learning and Development consultant and as part of our South Australia team working on the CALHN Recovery Program. Maggie was integral in supporting CALHN to operationalise effective, benchmarked bed management processes and assist the Executive to deliver a strategic Service Planning function. She also supported a proposal to redesign the Acute & Urgent Care service across to enhance quality, efficiencies and deliver savings Maggie holds a BA (Psychology) and a B. Health Science.
