Bruce Pedersen is the founder of The Checkley Group and Managing Director of Checkley Consulting. Bruce worked for 15 years in hospitals and area health boards before moving into consulting.
He has been a Hospital CIO, and has directly project managed the installation of electronic medical record systems, patient management systems, payroll systems, dictation systems, and finance systems.
In recent years Bruce has focused on strategic advisory consulting, and has developed IT Roadmaps and strategies for clients across Australia.
Alicia Curry is the Managing Director of Checkley Resourcing and brings a clinical perspective to our leadership team.
Originally trained as a Nurse, she has clinical experience working in ICU, emergency, surgery, primary and community care.
She has spent more than 10 years working on a range of high profile IT projects both in Australia and in the UK. These have ranged from Patient Administration Systems through to full Electronic Medical Records systems.
Alicia has provided consulting and strategic advisory services to a variety of clients in the public and private sector across Australia. She now uses her expertise in healthcare IT to identify and source talented resources for The Checkley Group and our clients.
Sharon is an experienced healthcare facilitator, trainer and assessor, guest speaker and healthcare consultant. Her experience spans strategic planning at board level, corporate learning and development strategies and service delivery, workshop facilitation, public education, and more than 10 years in mental health training and service management. Sharon also manages several aspects of our business operations bringing her experience in managing large teams and her financial management acumen to our leadership team.
Sharon has a passion for mental health service delivery and training. She has worked as a volunteer Lifeline telephone crisis supporter for more than 10 years and was previously the Centre Manager for Lifeline Western Sydney. She has trained many hundreds of Lifeline Crisis Supporters for various Lifeline centres in NSW and delivered Lifeline Australia’s national Crisis Support Workplace Training, Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills and Domestic Violence Alert (domestic and family violence training to frontline workers) and customised training developed in consultation with client organizations delivering training to corporates, not-for-profits and government departments.
Sharon is an experienced facilitator, guiding planning sessions between multiple stakeholders where an independent approach ensures the best possible outcome. Most recently she facilitated a series of co-design sessions for a Primary Health Network (PHN) and their key LHD and community stakeholders focusing on the Mental Health Reforms and other areas of community health service delivery. Sharon is an experienced guest speaker who has undertaken speaking engagements for numerous events both in a corporate context as well as clients operating in the mental health space.
